Security
AHCFCU is chartered and supervised by the National Credit
Union Administration. Share accounts are federally insured up
to $250,000 by this agency. In addition, we offer credit life
insurance on loans, GAP insurance and credit disability insurance to eligible members.
Membership
The field of membership for Arkansas Health Center FCU is any program that is located on the grounds of the Arkansas Health Center (Department of Human Services; Birch Community; Department of Correction), Harmony Grove School, Saline County Counseling Clinic, employees and volunteers of the City of Haskell and members of the Turtle Creek Fire Department. This also includes former employees of AHC who have transferred to other DHS agencies, and retired employees of any of the above, provided they were previously eligible for membership. Employees and their immediate families are eligible to join AHCFCU.
Share Accounts
Share accounts may be started by a $5.00 deposit. Dividends are paid each quarter on share accounts. Share accounts that are offered as follows:

• Christmas Share Account
• Share Draft Account
• Share Certificate
• Direct Deposit Share Account
The Direct Deposit Share Account is for members who need to have their paychecks deposited into an account at a financial institution, but do not have or want a checking account.
We also have ATM/Debit Cards for members who have checking accounts. These check cards can be used instead of a check when making purchases and can also be used to withdraw money from the checking account. These cards have an annual fee of $12.
Loans
If in need of a loan, we encourage our members to apply for a low cost loan through the Credit Union. We offer low cost financing on several types of loans, ranging from signature loans to loans used to purchase a new or used Auto, RV, Motorcycle, Boat, Camper, etc.. Once you become a member of Arkansas Health Center Federal Credit Union, you are immediately eligible to apply for a loan. There is no waiting period. The loan process and decision is quick and is based upon your credit history as well as financial history and ability to repay the loan. We offer fair and competitive rates. Call the Credit Union for the most current interest rates and terms. There is a one time application fee of $10.
Leadership
All credit union officials and committee members are credit union members who volunteer their time to serve. All officials, with the exception of the supervisory committee, are elected by the credit union membership. The Board of Directors makes the policies for the day-to-day operations of the credit union. The Credit Committee or the Loan Officers make the decisions of loans and the Supervisory Committee makes routine checks on the office. The Supervisory Committee is responsible for hiring a CPA Firm to audit the credit union books. The NCUA also audits the credit union each year.
